Wonderful experience from start to finish. Annie created a beautiful design for our master suite project on the 2nd floor of our 85+ year old cape cod home. The project required creation of a bathroom (running water and all) and walk in closet, working with angled walls/ceilings, flooring etc. She made the material selection very pleasant, offering suggestions to consider based on ideas we had in mind. She did not push a particular style or the most expensive accessories, more so advised how a style could be coordinated at different levels. Staff within her business and businesses she coordinated with to source our materials were extremely professional and communicated seamlessly. When ready, we will be inviting the whole gang back for a kitchen renovation. Remodels can be stressful on their own without worrying if materials will be delayed, project delays, questionable strangers in your home etc. We experienced none of those concerns. We just completed a full kitchen renovation with Annie Miller Designs and are thrilled with the results. We were intent on removing an existing wall and creating an open concept kitchen in a small space, but otherwise didn't have strong opinions on the design. In other words, we didn't bring a lot to the table in terms of ideas, but Annie was super organized and made the whole process as easy as possible! She was very responsive and always got back to us within a day if not hours. We also used a contractor (McCane Construction) that she works closely with and were very satisfied. They worked very well together as a team and kept things moving. One quick anecdote... we worked from home during the renovation and could occasionally hear the workers chatting. One day they were installing cabinets and we overheard one of the workers telling a new guy, "There is no such thing as 'good enough'. It was to be perfect every time, no exceptions!" Of those I contacted, Annie was the only one who would go with me to each supplier to be sure my selections worked together. She made suggestions to make my kitchen more efficient, i.e. mixer shelf that was hidden in a cabinet, spice drawer & utensil drawers. Her input was invaluable & everything came together nicely. The bathrooms look beautiful! Annie was very prompt in letting us know when something was going to be delivered or installed. She was in contact with the contractor whenever needed and was responsive to any communication I initiated. Initially she came out to the house with the contractor and we talked about what we wanted done. She came back with a proposal which we accepted. Next we picked out our cabinets from sample doors and brochures. Then we met her at the various businesses over the course of 2-3 weeks to pick out supplies: tile, flooring, toilets, tub,countertops and sinks. Annie is fantastic! She brought our kitchen out of 1990 and took a functional but drab shower and turned it into a glass-and-tile wonder! She really knows how to tie colors together, with all of the cabinetry, countertops and restained floor and tile in the kitchen getting matched to an updated paint palette. She also gave us options with the bathroom, and we went with a partial remodel, but again the colors tied it all together. As with all large projects there were some items that had to be reordered or replaced, and the ones that came from any of the items she was directly responsible for, she handled as soon as we told her about them. We worked with Annie for a remodel of our only full bath. Annie is a pleasure to work with, provides great design advice, and will work with you throughout the entire process to ensure timely, high-quality work. She also has great contractor and supplier relationships, which is an invaluable asset. Totally worth the cost! Our bathroom ended up taking 3-4 weeks of actual construction, where we didn't have access to a shower. That included Christmas and the NY holiday, though. We met with Annie in September or October to pick out cabinets and fixtures, choose colors etc. She took all the measurements and put in the order. We also got our estimate from her contractor around then - technically a separate contract, not Annie's subcontractor. We had a few issues come up. First was upgrading our electrical for a heater (totally worth the extra $$ to have a heater in there). Second was our wavy floors and warped walls which created some hassles. We also had to lower the ceiling to accommodate the depth of the new fan. Contractors worked with us to find solutions to these problems. Glad we had contractors doing this, because it would've been a real hassle for DIY, especially as I've never renovated a bathroom before.

She went above and beyond during the picking out process and everyone comments how well the kitchen is put together and flows. It was nice to get the 3D rendering of the final project. It helps to make it easier to envision before you start the remodel. Annie has great taste and a wonderful vision to know what will work. I have since asked for her opinion on some finishing touches and she is quick to respond to my questions. She came to my house on several occasions to check on how the installation was going and to make sure everything was correct. I would definitely use her again should the need arise.

Annie was recommended to me by a friend, and I'm so glad I listened to his advice. I had talked to two other designers before meeting Annie, and was uneasy with their designs and communication. Meeting Annie was the answer I was looking for! First of all, I was totally impressed that BOTH she and the contractor she uses came out together to talk with me and look at the job. And they BOTH came back together to present the plans! Here was the communication I was looking for! I was reassured that yes, the wall that was between my kitchen and family room could come down, and we could accommodate more storage in the island, and would not have to refinish the floors that had just been done 2 years prior. I absolutely love my new kitchen, and wouldn't change anything about the process. Everyone who came in was friendly and thoughtful, and the workmanship is top notch. My questions and concerns were listened to and addressed promptly. My kitchen and laundry room are not huge, but we made use of every inch, and they work like a dream. They also did two additional drywall repairs for me during the time they were here working on the kitchen project. I will be calling Annie back for any future projects for sure!
