Position: Kitchen and Bath Designer – Full Time

​

Role Summary:

In this role, you will create thoughtful, functional cabinetry designs tailored to each client’s needs, guide clients through high-quality material selections, and ensure designs are executed seamlessly from concept through installation. A strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering superior service while upholding AMD’s standards of excellence are essential.

We are looking for a designer who can be successful with:

• Strong technical cabinetry design skills

• Thorough understanding of construction details and installation processes

• Ability to read and interpret architectural plans and construction drawings

• Strong space planning skills with understanding of kitchen and bath workflow

• Ability to guide clients confidently through the design and selections process

• Strong problem-solving skills to address design and jobsite challenges

• Ability to design with client budgets while maintaining quality and design integrity

• Ability to manage multiple projects and thrive under a heavy workload

• Professional verbal, written and phone communication with clients, trade partners, and team members

• Excellent time management skills in a fast-paced environment

• Provide prompt, proactive, and consistent follow-up

• Have a commitment to excellence in every aspect of your work

• High standards for quality craftsmanship and client service

• Punctual and reliable for appointments and service calls

• Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills

• Proficiency in 2020 Design, SketchUp, and other relevant computer programs

• Reliable personal transportation for travel to job sites and vendor locations

• Strong sales background with confidence in presenting and positioning yourself as a professional designer

• Willingness to accommodate a clients need, including occasional Saturday morning appointments

• Commitment to continuing education and staying current within the kitchen and bath industry
